FDIG provides an assistantship that will enrich the faculty member's professional and academic endeavors, and ensures an academic year of full-time doctoral study at the University of Georgia in the faculty member's chosen field.
The program consists of:
- appropriate course work in the academic department chosen by the faculty member;
- seminars concerned with current issues in higher education conducted by the Institute of Higher Education;
- and responsibilities to be arranged by the faculty member's academic department head and the director of the Institute of Higher Education.
